EEI Imaging uses unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones to produce accurate aerial mapping solutions. Through a series of photos or video from our UAVs we can create 3D point clouds, georeferenced orthomosaics, digital surface models, and linear and volume analysis.
3D point clouds can be used for site planning, simple and complex measurements, and 3D modeling. A georeferenced orthomosaic is a high resolution top down map of the surveyed area that is tied to GPS coordinates. These can be used in conventional CAD models or even imported into Google Earth for easy viewing and measuring.
- Ideal survey areas are 1-100 acres
- Typical mapping accuracies rage from 4-8cm horizontally and 4-12cm vertically
